We, Taisei Corporation (CEO:Yoshiro AIKAWA) have been selected as one of the companies on the “Climate Change A List,” the highest level of recognition for the second year running (first selected in 2022) by CDP^*1, the international environmental non-profit organization. This recognition is based on the inclusiveness of our climate-related information disclosure and pioneering initiatives for climate change. Each year, CDP evaluates the status of corporate disclosure on climate change and places the top-rated companies on “Climate Change A List.”

We consider the impact of climate change on our business as one of the critical management issues and endorsed the TCFD recommendations^*2 in July 2020 to advance our climate-related information disclosure. We have also been analyzing risks and business opportunities due to climate change and studying the measures to respond to them, which are reflected in our business plan.

In addition, the Taisei Group established the “TAISEI Green Target 2050,” as the group’s long-term environmental target in 2021. We have set "achieving and deepening carbon neutrality" as our target to realize a decarbonized society, and aim to achieve net zero CO₂ emissions for Scope 1 + 2 and net zero CO₂ emissions from our supply chain for Scope 3.

Under our Group philosophy of “To Create a Vibrant Environment for All Members of Society”, we continue to strive towards “realization of a sustainable and environmentally friendly society,” as stated in our Environmental Policy.

   A non-profit organization that, in response to demand from environmentally conscious institutional investors and major purchasing organizations around the world, urges companies and local governments to disclose their environmental initiatives addressing “climate change”, “water security”, and “forests” as well as take actions based on the disclosed information.
