Prestressing of precast beams by pre-tensioning is one of the methods available for constructing long-span precast reinforced concrete buildings. It is important to clarify the bond characteristics of the tendons on each side of the beam, because prestress is applied to the beam by the bond stress between the concrete and tendons. Loading tests were carried out on actual size specimens and 2/3 scale specimens to clarify the structural performance of the beam and the bond characteristics of the tendons.
As a result, the anchorage length of tendon when applying prestress to the beam and after large deformation, and the load-displacement relationship of the beam on seismic loading were clarified. Based on the results, it is concluded that it is possible to apply prestress to precast beams by pre-tensioning system. |
