And Explaining Situation at the Time

In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' visit to Japan, the John Lennon Museum (Junichi Mizusawa, General Manager of the Museum/ Chuo-ku, Saitama-city), will be explaining the situation of the time when the Beatles visited Japan from June 29 to July 3, 1966 by exhibiting the then newspapers, magazines and others in addition to the stage costume at the Beatles Japan Tour, which is on display as a permanent exhibition, from June 29 to July 21, 2006.

John Lennon visited Japan from June 29 to July 3, 1966 as a member of the Beatles and performed live five times in total at Nippon Budokan with a cumulative audience of 50,000. This was their first and last tour in Japan, creating a great social phenomenon, not to mention musical influence.
