Japan through John Lennon's Eyes
--Special Exhibition for Summer 2002--


The John Lennon Museum (Jiro Kikuchi, General Manager of the Museum / Saitama-city, Saitama pref.) will hold a summer special exhibition from July 18 to September 23, titled "Japan through John Lennon's Eyes".


During 1977-1979, John Lennon visited Japan every summer to enjoy his vacation at a hotel in Karuizawa (Nagano Pref.) with his wife, Yoko and his son, Sean. He showed deep interest in Japanese tradition & culture and learned the language, haiku(poems in 17 syllables), sumie (painting in Indian ink),etc.


This exhibition features John's Japanese notebook, paintings, family pictures, and more. Visitors can trace his trip to Japan and explore the world he loved.
