THE RENEWAL WITH SPRING BREEZE
--32nd years since "The Ballad Of John And Yoko" --
|
The John Lennon Museum (Jiro Kikuchi, General Manager of the Museum / Yono-city, Saitama) will be replacing some of the exhibits with the occasion of the 32nd wedding anniversary of John and Yoko (Solemnization in British Gibraltar, March 20, 1969). The manuscripts of "LOVE" and "In My Life", Black Collarless Jacket, which was worn at an early stage of the Beatles' day, etc. will be on display from Wednesday, March 14.

| Relating to the Movie "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" |
|
"A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" will be showing at the Shochiku-group theaters from Saturday, March 31. In connection with this, our Museum Shop will be selling the limited premium tickets from Saturday, March 3.
In our Museum, moreover, visitors can see the Rickenbacker 325 JG, which John plays in the movie, the manuscripts of "If I Fell" and "I'm Happy Just to Dance with You," and the program and ticket of 1964 when the movie was first released.

| Discontinuing Friday Night's Operation |
|
We will discontinue the Friday night's operation from April 2001, so our opening hours will be uniformly 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
As alternated, we will flexibly deal with extending the summertime hours, receiving group in the nighttime at the Museum Cafe and so forth.

| The Circumstances of Setting Up the Museum and Its Present State |
|
Having been given the formal approval of Ms. Yoko Ono Lennon, the John Lennon Museum is the first of its kind in the world. The project owner of the Museum is Taisei Corporation (Osamu Hirashima, President) and the Museum is located on the 4th and 5th floors of the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Shin-toshin (Saitama New Urban Center).
Since the opening of the Museum, the number of visitors has grown steadily and exceeded 100,000 on February 7, 2001. Musicians such as Takuro (GLAY), Yukihide Takekawa, Takako Shirai, the members of Mr. Children, and politicians such as Prime Minister Mori and Mr. Inoue, the president of the House of Councilors, have come to the Museum so far. Nowadays, the John Lennon Museum is becoming the new highlights in Saitama New Urban Center.
