つる植物を用いた窓面の緑化に関する研究

横浜国立大学建築棟にて実施した壁面緑化について

横浜国立大学建築棟にて東西・南面に組んだ鉄骨フレームを介して歩廊を設け，そこにプランターと登はん方式による壁面緑化システムを設置して，窓面の緑化に適したつる植物や緑化工法，および維持管理方法について検討した。
その結果，腰壁の前に当たる部分にエキスパンドメタルを登はん補助材として設置し，プランターの足元を付着型植物のヘデラ・カナリエンシスで被覆し，窓面の前には斜め方向にダイニーマ製ロープを張り，そこに巻つる性植物のジャスミンやスイカズラを登はんさせることによって，窓面の20?30％を被覆できることが明らかとなった。
また，壁面の植生を維持するにあたって，風環境や土壌水分量に配慮し，植物の生育状況に応じて管理方法を設定することの重要性が確認された。

Study on a Wall of Greenery over Windows by Climbing Plants

Wall of Greenery on a Building at the Department of Architecture, Yokohama National University

We investigated the use of climbing plants and supporting materials to cover an area of windows with a wall of greenery. The building belongs to the Department of Architecture at Yokohama National University. We have been able to cover twenty to thirty percent of the window area by using sheets of expanded metal and ropes to support the climbing plants, and planting Hedera canariensis to cover the expanded metal sheets and Lonicera japonica to climb the ropes. We concluded that winds and water-content in soil were most important factors for maintaining the wall of greenery.
