As well as enabling high-rise reinforced concrete buildings, the realization of ultrahigh strength concrete offers longer-life structures and spacious rooms by reducing the size and number of columns. This paper deals with production processes and quality control results of ultrahigh strength precast concrete columns with 200 MPa that were used for the first time in superhigh-rise reinforced concrete condominiums.
For the 200 MPa ultrahigh strength concrete with excellent workability and strength development, we used a mineral admixture that we specifically developed for this purpose. Precast concrete columns were produced and then steam-cured at 90 degrees C at our our company's factory. As a result, it was confirmed that the properties of the fresh concrete were stable. The compressive strength test results were found to exceed 200 MPa while fulfilling the requirements.
