地球温暖化対策と循環型社会の構築を目指した技術開発
1997年採択された京都議定書は2005年に発効したが、わが国は2002年に比較して二酸化炭素排出量は増加しており、京都議定書の実現のためには相当の努力が必要である。その中心となるのが、民間企業セクターであり、温室効果ガスの排出量削減は企業として経済活動を行う上での社会的責任である。気候変動問題では、排出者責任や費用負担などの負の側面と新たなビジネスチャンスなどの正の側面とがある。本稿では、建設産業としての二酸化炭素排出に関わる側面と新たなビジネスチャンスとしての事業創出の側面から、当社の技術開発の現況と事業としての期待について概説する。

Technical Development for Global Warming Prevention and Creation of Sustainable Society
The Kyoto protocol that was adopted in 1997 became effective in 2005, Carbon dioxide emission quantity in Japan is increasing in comparison with 2002. More effort is necessary to realize the Kyoto protocol. Private enterprise sectors should play an important role in the activity for the emission reduction of the green house gas and this activity is the social responsibility of the sector. There are the positive aspect such as producing new business chance and the negative aspect such as emission responsibility and cost burden in the climatic change problem. This paper outlines the present condition of technical development in Taisei Corporation and expectation for new business chance with construction industry from carbon dioxide emission point of view.
