芝と在来野草の混植による粗放管理型緑地の創出
草地を景観性に優れ、人が利用可能な緑地であると定義して、日本芝と在来野草を混植することによって草地を造成・復元するための技術開発を行った。日本芝といくつかの野草を組合わせて試験圃場を造成し、緑被度や景観性の推移を調査した結果、日本芝と共生可能で景観性の高い緑地を形成できる草種としてヘビイチゴとノジスミレを選定した。また、日本芝のほふく茎とヘビイチゴのプラグ苗を緑化基盤材に混合して吹き付けることによって、大面積の緑化でも目的とする日本芝とヘビイチゴが共生する景観性の高い緑地を造成できることが確認された。

Establishment of Grasslands by the Mixture of Zoysiagrass and Domestic Wild Flowers
In order to establish a method for the renovation of grasslands by the mixture of zoysiagrass and domestic wild flowers, we have conducted a field trial to select domestic flowers which are able to combine with zoysiagrass. Results obtained in the experiment are as follows;
1) Wildberry and Viola ssp. exhibited good field-performances evaluated by covering rates and sights in the turf of zoysiagrass.
2) Spraying the mixture of vegetation parts of zoysiagrass and wildberry in artificial soil materials was able to establish a grassland coexisting zoysiagrass and wildberry.
3) Three times of cutting and one time of fertilizer application in a year were able to maintain the grassland mixing zoysiagrass and wild flowers.
