| To assess the performance of the geological disposal
of high-level radioactive waste, it is essential to estimate the mass transport
propertys of rock mass, which forms a natural barrier.Generally, mass transport
propertys in a rock with a single fracture is expressed as one dimensional
parallel plate model, which takes into account advective transport and longitudinal
mechanical dspersion in a fracture, molecular diffusion from the fracture into
the matrix, adsorption onto the face of the fracture and within the matrix.
In the usual method of the tracer test for the measurement of these prameter,
result of the tracer test is affected by dispersion in the tubing of the equipment.
The authors have developed a new method of the labolatory tracer test for the
fractured rock. The reliability of the test results was confirmed by the lablatory
test and analysis using a rock core specimen and an acrylic core specimen.
