Heat resistant concrete containing hydrogen at high temperature has been developed in order to design and manufacture the new type concrete cask having the same concept with the metal cask technology. The allowable temperatures of conventional concrete is limited to 90 ℃ or less at most because it holds most moisture content as evaporable water, and looses hydrogen which is effective for shielding by evaporation. This new heat resistant concrete can be used even at high temperature because it contains hydrogen as chemically bonded water. |
