Here are some examples of our past achievements meeting avariety of needs in renewal projects.
Our extensive record speaks most eloquently of our reputation. Taisei has undertaken a large number of renewal projects not only in Japan but also overseas. We will draw on this experience to propose a revitalization plan to satisfy your needs.

Conversion of an office building to a hotel

This building, constructed in 1955, was converted into a 207-room hotel. We succeeded in achieving revitalization while preserving a historic structure. This project received the Architectural Award from the Los Angeles Business Council and the Historic Building Conservation Award.

Conversion of a rental office building to housing

This building, constructed in 1949, was converted into housing. Additional facilities were established to support the residential environment, including a parking facility using half the space of the bottom three stories, and a pool and fitness gym on the rooftop.

Conversion of a bank to a restaurant

In this 60-year-old, five-story office building, one of the middle floors was removed to create a large, high-ceilinged space suited to events such as weddings, while ensuring earthquake resistance.

Upgrading earthquake resistance

The middle floors of this building, which was over 40 years old, were reinforced for earthquake resistance. The probable maximum loss from an earthquake (PML) was reduced from 52% to 14.8% as a result, and rent income rose by about ´5-6 million per year.

Conversion of an office building

An office building was converted to a data center. To allow business operation to begin as soon as possible, the entire project was completed in a very short period of time, from structural reinforcement to comprehensive renovation of M&E systems.

Renovation and earthquake resistance enhancement of a department store

Four buildings were integrated in conjunction with building expansion, and the existing building frame was upgraded to extend its usable lifetime. Reinforcement for earthquake resistance was implemented at the same time as renovation, resulting in a large increase in building performance and profitability.

Renovation of a head office building

Using original technology developed by Taisei, including T-PALET for precise evaluation of the satisfaction level of facility users, this head office building was renovated in a way that fully reflected the client's wishes.

Preservation and renovation of an important cultural property

This important cultural property was preserved for the sake of utilization. A variety of unforeseen problems were resolved, including bringing the structure into compliance with current laws and regulations through structural reinforcement and enhancement of its M&E system and disaster prevention functions.
