The provision of high-quality construction products and services is an important part of our mission. To realize this goal, we conduct our corporate activities in accordance with our Quality Policy.

Quality Policy and Our Quality Management System

Taisei Corporation has developed and operated a quality management system for many years. In 1996, we were the first construction company in Japan to obtain ISO 9001 certification. To provide our customers with safe, secure construction products and after-sales service, we have created a systematic quality management system that covers all stages from construction through to post-delivery operations.
To promote quality management, apply advanced technology, and meet society’s needs, we always keep the manuals and standards required for construction-related quality management available.
After delivery, our head and branch offices work together to provide any necessary technical support and all departments collaborate to offer prompt and appropriate quality maintenance (postsale) services.

How Our Quality Management System Supports Taisei Quality Activities

One of the management goals in our medium-term management plan (FY 2009 to 2011) is to further earn the trust of our clients and society. To that end, in May 2009 we started our Taisei Quality Activities. These activities target all officers and employees and aim to instill them with a sense of pride in their work to facilitate performance that meets our Taisei Quality standards.
Specifically, we set three overall goals for the program: to improve productivity; to improve quality standards and eliminate quality problems; and to foster an environment of dedication to construction. To achieve these goals, we organized Taisei Quality Committees in our head office’s Field Divisions (Building Construction and Civil Engineering) as well as our branch offices. We formed three working groups (Production Tools Innovation, Quality Improvement, and Workplace Environment Improvement) within each committee. These committees collaborate with each other and act to achieve their respective goals.
We continue to provide clients and society with safe, secure, high-quality buildings by making full use of our technologies and manufacturing know-how as well as by properly implementing strict quality management procedures, which are defined in our rules regarding quality management processes. To improve individual employees’ technical and quality management abilities, we have also enhanced veteranemployee-led OJT training. While staying true to our motto, “Taisei Quality, Pride in Quality,” we will continue to improve our manufacturing skills in order to provide products that satisfy our customers.
