Preparing for large-scale disasters is essential risk management for any company. As part of its business continuity planning (BCP), in order to minimize disasterrelated damage and continue corporate activities in the event of a disaster, Seiwa Renewal Works participates in Taisei's large-scale disaster training as a supplier. In 2008, the company introduced a safety confirmation system which is designed to check the safety of executives, employees, and their families and collect information on the extent of disaster-related damage. Using this system, the company conducts disaster response training annually for all of its executives and employees to prepare for a large-scale disaster.
Both companies, which have many individual customers, are fully aware of the importance of protecting personal information and believe that the proper protection and use of personal information is the foundation of business activities and social responsibility. The two companies are establishing systematic management structures including the development of policies concerning the protection of personal information for specific business activities, the adoption of internal regulations, and the appointment of personnel responsible for management of personal information.
Taisei Service prepared an Information Security Handbook with basic information that all officers and employees should know concerning information security in February 2009 and has distributed the handbook to all personnel (including part-time and temporary employees) and has also taken other measures to ensure thorough understanding regarding information security.
